SLJ W2 D5, BA Sweet Tooth

1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup Chelsea White Sugar
125g butter
2 Tbsp Chelsea Golden Syrup
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla essence

Icing:
50g Soft Butter
2Tbsp Water
1Tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 1/2 cups Chelsea Icing Sugar

Preheat oven to 180°C. Mix together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and Chelsea White Sugar. In separate bowl add the butter and Chelsea Golden Syrup and melt 1 minute on high in microwave usually does it. In another bowl whisk the eggs and stir in the milk, baking soda and vanilla. Add both the butter mix and the milk mix to dry ingredients and beat on medium for 1 minute. In a 20 cm round tin this takes 50-60 minutes to cook. Cool before icing.
Icing:Whisk butter and Chelsea Icing Sugar together. Add water and cocoa powder. Whisk together (add water slowly to make sure that the icing is the right consistency).

I would invite my family and my friends,we would have a bbQ With steak, After our BBQ we would all go to the lake for a swim and sea biscuiting with the boat.

 

  

SLJ W2, D3 A1 Dealing with Stress

Stress

  I go out side and get some fresh air and calm down, I also like to listen to music and just chill for a bit, my favorite songs at the moment are: Stress out, Thunder, gravity.

If some one was stress around me, I would say to take a walk and get some fresh air, or go sit in quiet place and listen to music, or read a book.

Christchurch Cathedral

Some times known as Cathedral church of christ, is located in the city of christchurch

Christchurch Cathedal was built between 1864 and 1904. which means it took 39 years.( I cant believe it took that long.)

Plans arrived in New Zealand 1864 but construction stop in late 1865 but there was not enough money.

In 1873 Benjamin Mountfort took over and started constuction again. so that means maybe it took 31 years to construct.

The Cathedral has been damaged from earthquakes lots of times, both during and after construction, the most resent in 2011 which destroyed the spire and part of the tower, and badly damaged the structure of the building. (so sad).

SLJ D5, A2 The treaty of Waitangi

Three fun things to do at Waitangi

#1 Visitors to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds can buy a Day Pass, that includes entry to the Treaty Grounds and Museum of Waitangi, a guided tour and a cultural performance in the carved Meeting House.


#2 Hāngi & Concert evenings are scheduled from 1 December to the 30th March. A themed intimate experience not to be missed.


#3 Fishing trips, I have been on a fishing trip in Pihia and it was awesome, i even caught 2 sharks !


The one I would like to do the most is the Hangi and a concert Because I haven't done this one before and it sounds good to me, and I would like to go fishing again.

SLJ Day4 Bonus Activity, Mataini

My favourite performance was

# 1  Tamatea Arikinui, Because I liked all the actions and that they were all in time with each other,                                            and I thought the singing was cool too.

# 2 Te Puku o Te Ika, Because I liked the singing and their costums.

# 3 Te Iti Kahurangi,  Because it was hard to hear the main lady sing, I think she needed a microphone.

SLJ Day 4 A 2 playing games

My favourite game was Poi Rakau because it looks like fun and everyone has a great laugh.

The coal of the game is to catch the stick before it falls.

Rule 1 NO PUSHING THE STICKS IN THE GROUND.

Rule 2 YOU MUST CATCH THE STICK BEFORE IT HIT THE GROUND.

I am going to play this game when my cousins when they come at Christmas.
